‘Fatal Error’: Academy guns cause fatal accident
A gunman opened fire on an Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences campus in Aurora, Colorado, on Friday, killing six people and wounding nine others.
The shooter was identified as 26-year-old James Holmes.
The incident was the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.
The shooting took place at the University of Colorado’s campus in downtown Aurora.
The suspect was shot dead after he opened fire, according to local media.
The FBI said on Sunday that it is actively pursuing leads on the suspect’s identity.
It also said that the suspect was a graduate of the university.
Officials have not said whether Holmes was enrolled at the school or attended classes there.
The shootings occurred just one day after a gunman killed 49 people and wounded 53 others at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, and a gunman opened fires on a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
