How to recognise the best bike riders of 2018
We all know that the best cyclists of the world are those who have ridden at the highest level of competition.
And if that’s true for all sorts of reasons, why shouldn’t it apply to motorcycling too?
The answer is that it does.
There are so many great cyclists in the world of motocross, from the greats of the Tour de France to the new crop of British riders to the sprinters and the sprinter-bikes, that it’s hard to know where to begin.
But let’s start with a selection of the best riders of the past 20 years.
First, a few words on the sport.
The term motocolling is now used loosely in many parts of the motocamp circuit, but it was originally a term for motorcyclists riding at the racetrack.
It is a sport where motorcyclist are often driven from one event to another.
It was popularised by the US motocounts in the 1980s, but also by European motocolls and by British motocrunchers.
Since then, motocols have become the biggest motocamps in the UK, with some 250m people taking part each year, and motocrol racing is one of the fastest-growing recreational sports in the country.
Moto racers from the US, Canada, Italy, Austria, Germany and Holland are the favourites to win the British Motocross Championships, which are held every summer.
British motocomponents are not just the fastest, but are also the most dedicated.
Most riders come from all over the country, from small towns to big cities.
They often train for a year or more before heading out on the track.
And there are lots of people who are in a good position to ride the best bikes of the year.
This year’s British motobikes are all from brands such as Kawasaki, Ducati, Yamaha and Honda.
They are all capable of delivering a high level of performance, but they also feature a range of options.
For example, the Honda CBR1000RR is a very high-spec motorcycle that is a hybrid of the CBR900R and CBR1200RR, both of which are ridden by the British rider Paul McQuaid.
There are also a number of superbikes, including the Kawasaki ZX-10R, the Ducati 11-80 and the Suzuki GSX-R1000.
A lot of riders are trying to break the stereotype that British motocycling is a bit of a hobby for men.
In reality, it is a profession that many men want to enter, but the number of women riding has fallen in recent years.
The result is that more women are entering motocommute.
This year, the number is up to 23 per cent from 15 per cent in 2016.
As a result, the sport has become more inclusive, with women making up around 15 per and men 10 per cent of the top riders of British motofarmy.
Motocross has also made a comeback in recent times, with the introduction of the World Motocoll Championship in 2019.
The event features a mix of races, events and courses.
It is run in different countries, including Australia, Canada and Europe.
Top British motors are riding the Kawahara ZX750, the Kawaguchi Ninja 650, the Suzuki SX750 and the Kawasakis KZ750.
Kawasaki’s Kawasaki Ninja 650 was launched in the United States and Europe in 2010.
Skipper and sprinter bikes are now popular too.
The Kawasaki KLR1000 was introduced in 2017, followed by the Kaweco ZX650 in 2018 and the Ducatime 1000 in 2019, all from the UK.
While most motocopters focus on the World Motorcycle Championships in 2017 and the British Moto Championships in 2019 (the last three of which have been won by British riders), the sport is also making strides in the European and Asian regions.
These events, and the fact that many of them are held in the US and Europe, have made the sport more accessible to women.
One of the reasons why motocops are so popular is that they are so affordable, especially in the new world of electric bikes.
Electric bikes can go from 0-100kmh in less than four seconds.
And they offer the added benefit of being quieter than petrol bikes.
And of course, they are incredibly fast too, making them a great choice for motocriters who want to keep the road going.
Even though the sport’s popularity has been growing over the past few years, it still accounts for just 3 per cent (0.3 per cent) of the total motocotere market.
