I was born a boy! It’s a new school!
Woodward Academy, the high school in South Dakota, announced on Tuesday that it had hired an all-male band to perform at its new school.
The band, the Woodward Boys, was created with a Kickstarter campaign and will feature students from the school’s musical arts program, the woodward arts academy.
The academy, which began in 2010, has been praised for its focus on mentorship, leadership development and mentorship with students and faculty.
It has since moved to the state’s new high school system, Woodland High School, in Sioux Falls.
It will be performing at Woodland Academy from Feb. 28 through March 6.
“Woodward Academy has been the catalyst for a new era of growth and transformation in the high schools across South Dakota,” said John Hickey, the academy’s vice president for community engagement and community engagement, in a statement.
“We are thrilled to be able to share our journey with the Woodland community and beyond.
Woodward is an iconic high school and the school community is proud to welcome the Woodwards.”
