In August 2018, the New England Patriots selected quarterback Jacoby Brissett in the fifth round of the NFL draft.
His father, former NFL QB Jacoby Bissett, is an ESPN College Football Analyst and former NFL Player of the Year.
His grandfather, former New England Patriot and current ESPN College Basketball Analyst and ESPN Sports Analyst, Joe Brisset, is a former NFL Coach and ESPN College Analyst.
His son, Jacoby, is currently a member of the Boston Celtics and has a dual-sport track record.
The two have been on the same team for the past several seasons.
Jacoby has attended New England for five years and graduated from the academy in the summer of 2017.
Jacobo has made it clear to his teammates that he would be ready to make a name for himself in the collegiate game if he had to make the jump to the NFL.
When asked what his goal is with the Patriots organization, Jacobi said he wants to be “a leader and a leader-type player and just a guy that’s going to be able to bring the ball to the ball carrier and make plays with the football.”
The younger Jacobi is one of a handful of players at New England who have been able to make that transition, and he knows it’s only a matter of time before he becomes a star in the NFL as well.
Jacobi’s journey has been a long one, starting when he was just a kid.
He was a junior in high school, when he became interested in athletics, and soon after, he enrolled in the Thayer Academy in the city of Thayer, Massachusetts, in order to take the next step in his education.
At Thayer High School, Jacobiy made a name out of his play, playing on the football team as well as the basketball team, winning several individual awards.
As a senior, Jacobie was a standout on the basketball and track teams and was able to land a scholarship at the elite, all-American, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Jacoby was named a member and one of the most valuable players on the team.
The school was known as the “Handsome One” and was ranked as the number one basketball team in the country and the number two track team in America.
Jacobi was the MVP of the team, averaging 20.6 points per game, and the team was named to the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Final Four as well the National Invitational Division I Tournament as a member.
With the addition of Jacobi to the Thayers team, his career took a new twist.
“He was able, through his talent, to get that scholarship to MIT,” Thayer Head Coach Jim Breen said.
He became the first player from the city and state of Boston to sign with the Boston Patriots in their history.
Jacobiy has made the transition to the Patriots this season and is a major reason why, as of late, New England has had success at the position.
During the 2017 season, Jacobies senior season, he was named the team MVP and earned All-Big Ten First Team honors.
He also became the fourth quarterback in NFL history to be named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Week.
Jacobry was named an All-American by the Collegiate Athletic Association (CAA) and was named MVP of its National Indoor Football Tournament.
Jacobies freshman season was one of his most successful, leading the Patriots to an 8-1 record and a berth in the NCAA tournament for the first time in the team’s history.
On top of being an All American, Jacobys senior season also featured a national title.
Jacobys team was ranked No. 2 in the nation and the No. 3 team in college basketball.
The next season, the Patriots had a breakout season as Jacoby led the team in total offense with 1,634 yards passing and 19 touchdowns.
He threw for over 2,000 yards and 22 touchdowns while also rushing for more than 1,000.
Jacobily was named All-America for the second straight season.
And now, after a successful season, in 2017, the Thayls return to their hometown for the 2018 season.
Jacoby’s teammates, teammates and coaches are looking forward to having Jacoby as the Patriots quarterback this season.
We will be in awe watching him, playing with him, practicing with him and supporting him.
In honor of Jacoby being named the New Patriots quarterback, the team has released a new shirt that features Jacoby in all his glory.
It is available on the Thays home page and can be purchased here.
The Thayer Shirt, available now on the store’s home page, features Jacobi in all of his glory with his new shirt.
The shirt can be found on the website as well in the apparel section.
